After an osteoporotic fracture there are 2 important actions to take.

1. Prevent another fracture.
2. Recover well from the fracture.

In regard to number 2. A recent article emphasised the importance of exercise.

Conclusions from the study:
This is the first 12 month-randomized clinical trial of exercise in osteoporotic women with a vertebral fracture. The 40-min exercise program was conducted twice weekly for 1 year. The results demonstratesd improvement of three key outcome measures:
quality of life, functional mobility, and balance.
