On the day I was introduced to the idea of trying an exclusion diet I sat and read The Autoimmune Solution by Amy Myers. I printed off the list of foods, looked at recipes and got my head around what I needed to do and then set my mind to it. I had been feeling fairly lousy so realised this was an opportunity to get better.

The next day I started the new regime.

The menu

Fruit for breakfast with Coconut Yoghurt.

Soups and salads for lunch.

Meat or fish and veggies for dinner. sometimes even apple crumble for dessert.

Bone broth any time of the day.


Amy Myers has some good recipes and I joined her FB page Amy Myers Community where there is great support advice and recipes.
Coconut products have been wonderful.

Sometimes a smoothie with Coconut Cream, banana, berries cinnamon and turmeric.

Coconut Chocolate mousse (The recipe -1 can Coconut Cream, 2 tsp gelatine dissolved in hot water and 2 tbsp of Cocoa.

Currys with Coconut cream Cauliflower rice.

Zucchini noodles.

And so, the list goes on. Just imagination and lots of Googling!

How am I going?

7 weeks have passed now, and I am feeling 90% better. Hopefully reach the 100% soon. Plus, a weight loss of 6 kgs as a bonus.

I hope to slowly start introducing other foods, but know that wheat is a no-no.

I am now on the road to recovery and I’m not detouring!
