We have a waitlist of patients who urgently require any available appointments. If you fail to notify us you will incur the nonattendance fee.

Once you have recovered we will offer you the next available appointment time.

If you are unwell we can provide a telehealth appointment.

As a health service, we have an obligation to protect our patients and our staff. We take our responsibility very seriously.

We protect our patients by:

Wearing a mask within the grounds of our Centre, including the front porch.

Being doubly vaccinated against COVID;

To keep our facility and staff safe as Victoria opens up, we are introducing the following process:

  • Unvaccinated or single vaccinated COVID patients or patients with a mask exemption will require their initial consultation to be via telehealth. If you are attending for a review appointment please advise us in advance of your appointment so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
  • We are asking that any family, including children or friends who are not double COVID vaccinated to refrain from entering the building.
  • Social distancing rules require that only two people can attend a consultation.
  • Please sanitise your hands before entering the building.
  • For increased ventilation, the door and the window of the consulting room where you will see Dr Lewis will be left open.
  • If you are unwell and have any symptoms, even a minor sniffle including those attributed to hayfever you must inform us and reschedule the appointment.
  • Only 4 people will be allowed into the building at any one time. You will be asked to wait outside or in your car before your appointment. Please advise reception when you arrive.
  • As you may also be aware, last week the TGA approved Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) kits for use under the supervision of health professionals. We will continue to explore how to best integrate RAT testing into our COVID plan.

There are still many unknowns as we move forward into this new phase. We will continue to monitor the advice from the Victorian Government and Health Department and modify our approach as needed.

We request your understanding to provide the safest environment for you.

The Australian Rheumatology Association on 7 January 2022 has updated the advice for individuals with rheumatic disease. You can access the link here.
